Things to Do on Father's Day

Posted: 14 June 2017

Take it from us when we say that choosing the ideal Father’s Day gift is all about creativity. It’s about stepping away from the usual Father’s Day ideas you’ve gone with for the past 25 years and coming up with something a little special.

Lucky for you, there’s really nowhere better to make it happen than right here in London!

So if you’re suffering a bit of creative-block and would like a nudge in the right direction, any of the following Father’s Day gift ideas are pretty much impossible to go wrong with:

Speedboat Tours of the Thames

First up, if you’d like to treat your dad to an alternative view of the capital coupled with the ride of his life, a speedboat tour of the Thames ticks all the right boxes! From Thamesjet to Thames RIB Experience and so many more besides, it’s a world away from the slow ‘n’ steady tourist boats you might be used. A white-knuckle experience you’ll all enjoy.

Helicopter Tours

Or if you really want to push the boat out…no pun intended…why not treat him to the most exclusive view of London money can buy? Taking in the sights of the Big Smoke from 1,000ft in the air on-board a soaring helicopter really is an experience like nothing you can imagine. Not the cheapest option, but this is dad we’re talking about here!

Artisan Sausage Making

Back on solid ground, any foodie father   would simply swoon at the prospect of our very own sausage making course. One of our most enjoyable and popular cooking classes, dabbling with DIY sausage making is all about taking the humble British banger and making it your own. But as it’s not quite as easy as it looks, rest assured hilarity along the way is guaranteed! Do you want to give your dad more options? Why not purchase some vouchers for one of our cookery classes and let dad take his pick from our classes on offer? By purchasing a gift voucher for your father you are not just giving him a thoughtful present, but also a wealth of memories to enjoy for years to come.

Up At the O2

There was a time when only James Bond was semi-allowed on the roof of the O2 Arena. Now though, it’s come-one, come-all! Well, upon paying the modest entry fee, of course. This wonderful experience shows you a side of the O2 few ever get to see, along with gorgeous all-round vistas from 53m up in the air. A genuinely brilliant opportunity not to be missed.

Snorkelling with Sharks

Nope…we haven’t gone off the deep end with this one! The London Sea Life Aquarium now offers its more intrepid visitors the opportunity to don a snorkel, swim with sharks and even get involved in feeding time! Luckily, it isn’t your dad that’s on the menu…but you don’t have to tell him that!
