BT Corporate Cooking Class - Mexican Cuisine

There must be something in the air when we host our Mexican cookery experiences because it always brings out so much fun and energy in people, and when we hosted the team from BT for our Mexican masterclass, they were true to form!

The session began like all of our team building events, with a welcome drinks reception – prosecco for those who drink and elderflower bubbly for those who don’t drink alcohol.

The team were raring to go so we headed straight to the cocktail making stations. For our Mexican class, the team made the perfect Margarita to enjoy before starting their cooking – we always said cooking fun when drinking!

In the kitchen, Chef Marieanne started the class with a demo of the Empanadas. Empanadas are slightly fiddlier to make but once the team had been shown how to the traditional get the pinch and fold right and the super easy fork method, the guests mastered it in no time!

This is followed by a delicious Chicken Enchiladas made from scratch with home blended spices and sauce!

Unlike with our cookery challenges, we don’t judge the final dishes in a cuisine based class – the focus is more on team work, communication and learning new cooking techniques – but this didn’t stop the team wanting to know who had impressed our chef the most! Remaining neutral, it was 5 stars all round for effort and enthusiasm!
