Giving back to our local community!

We wanted to share a wonderful event we had recently at Jenius Social, which not only showcased the talents of a group of wonderful individuals but also highlighted the power of giving back to the community. Last week, we hosted a bake-off challenge for a group of 60 people, and it turned out to be an amazing time filled with laughter, creativity, and the spirit of camaraderie.

Under the expert guidance of our Chef, the teams embarked on their baking adventure. Each station was equipped with pre-weighed ingredients, but here's the twist - there were no instructions provided on what to do with them or what they were supposed to create. It was a true test of teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. Surprisingly, there were a few Great British Bake Off fans among the participants, and they tackled the challenge with confidence and enthusiasm.

Two hours flew by in a flurry of flour, laughter, and delicious aromas and the creativity and skills displayed by the teams were simply awe-inspiring, and we ended up with some truly amazing bakes.

But the heart-warming part of this event was not just the baking and friendly competition. It was the cause we were supporting and the remarkable individual behind it all. Jennifer our founder, had the pleasure of meeting Simon several years ago during a consumer testing event he was hosting for an American client. Simon, the founder of Maverick Humanity, runs a charity that feeds homeless people in Camden every Thursday evening outside Camden station. He started this amazing initiative after selling his catering company and has been spreading joy and warmth to those in need ever since.

Maverick Humanity focuses on providing food to homeless individuals, relying on the support of generous donors and events like the one we hosted. We are immensely proud to support this fantastic initiative, extending the opportunity for our cooking team building event attendees to donate their dishes, bakes, and any leftover produce to help feed the people of London. It's our small way of making a significant difference in the lives of those less fortunate, bringing smiles and hope to their faces.

As the holiday season approaches, we're extending our support further. For this Christmas, we're offering a special opportunity to anyone booking our Gingerbread House Challenge. You can donate your Gingerbread houses to help bring a bit of festive joy to those struggling this year. It's a heart-warming way to embrace the spirit of giving, making a tangible impact on the lives of others during this festive season.

For Christmas this year we are offering anyone who books a Gingerbread House Challenge the chance to donate their Gingerbread houses to help bring a bit of festive joy to people struggling this year.
